Former UNC football star Devontez “Tez” Walker scores his first NFL touchdown

Devontez “Tez” Walker’s first NFL catch is special.

In the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon, Walker had his first NFL reception, which ended in a touchdown.

On third-and-1, Lamar Jackson found a wide-open Walker in the end zone for a 21-yard score. The touchdown gave the Ravens a 28-7 lead.

Walker is no stranger to the end zone, having scored 18 touchdowns in his final two college seasons. He connected with Drake Maye seven times before leaving for the NFL after his lone season in Chapel Hill.

Even though he hasn’t been used in the Ravens’ offense yet, plays like the one on Sunday afternoon will certainly go a long way toward gaining more trust from his star quarterback.

It’s great to see the former UNC football star get the opportunity to play in the NFL. Hopefully there are many more catches (and touchdown receptions) in Tez Walker’s future.
