Fortnite takes fans back to where it all began.

The game, first released in 2017, returns to its roots by kicking off the first season of Fortnite OG Battle Royale, Chapter 1. Starting today, fans will have access to the original map, loot, locations, OG Pass and gameplay, as well as Zero Build, Solo and Squad modes that became available this morning.

Fortnite OG was made available to users today at 9 a.m. ET and is available now.

How long is Fortnite OG available?

The Fortnite OG permanent mode will remain, according to the company, with Chapter 1, Season 1 available until January 31, 2025 at 2 a.m. ET.

The game’s blog post states that seasons in the OG iteration will be shorter than in the current battle royale.
