Freezing temperatures are expected this weekend

Rain makes Thanksgiving afternoon disappear, then extreme cold sets in

DIFFICULT. And by the way, this will only be very short-lived. DURING YOUR THURSDAY, ESPECIALLY AT LUNCH, WE WILL START CLEARING OUT. WE WILL HAVE AIRY TO WINDY CONDITIONS. ALL OF THESE INFLATABLE DECORATIONS WILL PUT A GOOD WORKOUT. And then as we head into Friday, it’s windy all over the backcountry, but the wind continues to persist in the mountains. By the way, look at all the sunshine on Friday and Saturday. These clear skies will actually help us cool down at night. THOSE GUSTS OF WIND WILL MAKE IT FEEL A LITTLE COLDER NOW. Wind gusts between 20 and 30 mph today, at times tomorrow. NOT quite as bad, but it will still be that way. 10, 1520, 25 mph across the backcountry, 20 to 30, in the mountains. AGAIN IT IS WHAT THE COOLING OF THE WIND IS CREATING OR THAT FEEL, COMBINED WITH THE VERY COLD TEMPERATURES IT WILL FINALLY CALL A LITTLE OFF ON SATURDAY. Sometimes it’s still breezy. A FEW SNOWS POSSIBLE, EVEN A LIGHT SNOW NORTH OF I-40 AS WE GO INTO THE MOUNTAINS ON SUNDAY. ALL OTHERS ARE CLEAR AND DRY. Monday will be a dry day but so cold. AND TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY TOO. I think in the middle and towards the end of next week we’ll start to warm up. BUT IT WILL BE SO COLD. This will take us a while. TODAY IN THE MID 60S. And then we say goodbye to the 60s for a while. Check out these overnight lows. Some of us freeze tonight, some of us don’t. Remember: we are simply faced with the change tomorrow. Is this the day of transition? BUT WE WILL THROUGH IT WITH FULL POWER. Cold overnight lows and cold mornings. HERE COMES THE HARD FREEZE BACK IN THE 50S. UNTIL WEDNESDAY NEXT WEEK ACROSS THE UPSTATE. BUT WATCH THE 40’S FOR DAYAL HIGH IN THE MOUNTAINS. And that feels like it’s in the single digits
