From city offices to public transportation: Thanksgiving closures across the region | News

TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 28, and most offices, city services, government buildings and public transportation are closed for the holiday.

Here is a list of Thanksgiving closures in the area.

Tricities:

  • Ben Franklin Transit: All Ben Franklin Transit services will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th.
  • Richland: Richland facilities will be closed November 28th and 29th.
  • West Richland: All city offices will be closed November 28th and 29th.
  • Pasco: Some city offices will have adjusted schedules on November 27th and city offices will be closed on November 28th and 29th.

Prosser:

  • City offices will remain closed on November 28th and 29th.
  • There will be no garbage collection on November 28th. Normal operations will resume the next business day, with appointments one day in advance, including Saturday pickup.

Yakima:

  • City of Yakima offices and facilities were closed November 28th and 29th.
  • City Hall, Y-Pac and Yakima Parks and Rec will be closed both days.
  • Yakima Transit will not operate on Thanksgiving, November 28th.
  • No garbage collection. Garbage collection will resume and be moved forward by one day.
  • The district court, the police and the fire department remain closed, but the emergency service is still available.

Ellensburg:

Walla Walla:

  • Most city offices and facilities will remain closed on November 28th and 29th.
  • The garbage will not be picked up on November 28th, but a day later.

Umatilla:

  • State and city offices will be closed November 28th and 29th.

Hermiston:

  • State and city offices will be closed November 28th and 29th.
