Fubo has positioned itself as the leader in premium live sports for streamers – and now hopes those customers will be drawn in by a new offering that unlocks holiday movies and hundreds of hours of family-friendly entertainment.

This week, Fubo began offering Hallmark Plus to streamers a la carte Basic and for those who pay more than $80 per month for access to Fubo’s basic programming package of broadcast channels and cable networks.

Fubo hasn’t said how much the service will cost Hallmark Plus. As a standalone product, Hallmark Plus costs $8 per month or $80 per year. Earlier this month, Fubo competitor Philo began offering Hallmark Plus at the same price of $8 per month.

“Hallmark is a beloved feel-good content brand that offers something for everyone,” Todd Mathers, senior vice president of content strategy and acquisition at Fubo, said in a statement Thursday. “This is the perfect time of year to introduce Hallmark Plus to Fubo customers, allowing them to choose the best way to subscribe for them: as part of our subscription plans alongside Hallmark’s linear content, or as a standalone package.”

Hallmark Plus offers more than 600 hours of Christmas and holiday-themed movies and shows, including the “Countdown to Christmas” marathon starting this Saturday. The service is also the first distribution point for several Hallmark limited series, including “Holidazed” and “Mistletoe Murders.”

In addition to Hallmark Plus, Fubo distributes Hallmark’s linear channels through its basic programming package.
