IND vs AUS 3rd Test Day 5, Live Cricket Score Updates: Ravichandran Ashwin announced his retirement from Test cricket after the third Test between India and Australia ended in a draw at the Gabba on Wednesday.

While announcing his retirement, Ashwin went to the post-match press conference with Rohit Sharma and said, “This will be my last year as an Indian cricketer in all formats. “I feel like I still have a few months left as a cricketer, but I would like to expose that and probably show it in cricket at club level, but this will be the last day.”

While Ashwin declined any questions from journalists, he left the room after the announcement but not before hugging Rohit, who added that he had heard about Ashwin’s plan to retire after landing in Perth.

The draw in the third Test was inevitable. Rain and poor light had the last word in Brisbane on Wednesday. India were eight points without loss when tea was called early due to lack of light on the fifth day of the third Test against Australia in Brisbane on Wednesday. The tourists needed 267 runs to win. Captain Pat Cummins declared Australia’s second innings over at 89 for seven, giving India an unlikely victory target of 275 runs as dark clouds gathered near the Gabba. Cummins and fellow pacer Mitchell Starc had bowled just 2.1 overs in India’s openers before play was suspended.
