Gal Gadot Talks Life-Threatening Health Issues During Pregnancy – Israel Culture

Gal Gadot was diagnosed with “a massive blood clot in her brain” when she was eight months pregnant last February and almost died, she wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Gadot said that after suffering from debilitating headaches for weeks, she underwent an MRI and was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery. “My daughter Ori was born in this moment of uncertainty and fear,” she wrote. The name Ori, which means “my light” in Hebrew, was no coincidence, she said. “Before the surgery, I told (her husband) Jaron (Varsano) that she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel when our daughter arrived.”

Thanking the doctors at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles who saved her life, she continued, “Today I am completely healed and filled with gratitude for the life that has been given back to me.”

The frightening experience taught her two things. On the one hand, it is important to listen to our body and trust what it tells us, and on the other hand, three out of 100,000 pregnant women in the over 30 age group are diagnosed with CVT (blood clot in the brain). which is treatable if discovered in time. “Sharing this is not meant to scare anyone, but to empower,” she added.

My wish is that we all find our light, experience our own miracles and continue to advocate for our health and each other.”
