Game 14: UMD at Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. – First, a few pictures from our tour of Mullett Arena on Friday. More on my BlueSky account. Thank you to Paige Shacklett from Arizona State for setting this up for Matt Wellens, my son Hunter and me. Sorry for the weird layout here as I’m not a pro at this and it shows.

Now about ice hockey. Last games for UMD before a roughly three-week holiday break. Of course, the “break” part here is a hockey thing, as the players are also preparing for the finals, which begin again on Monday in Duluth.

Both teams were out last weekend, so it will be either a sleepy or hectic start. You choose.

Adam Gajan (lower body) is out, so freshman Klayton Knapp makes his first career start. Joe Molenaar (lower body) is also out and Kyle Bettens moves back into the lineup to replace him.

Klayton Knapp vs. Luke Pavicich.
