The New York Knicks look to extend their eight-game winning streak into 2025 when they take on the Utah Jazz at Madison Square Garden tonight.

It’s an evening game, with game time scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Eastern (5:30 p.m. Mountain).

After an up-and-down start to the season, the Knicks are in good shape and have the third-best record in the highly competitive Eastern Conference and fourth in the entire NBA.

Powered by the league’s second-best offense, the Knicks’ defense has also stepped up, allowing opponents to score just 106.8 points per game during their current winning streak.

A layup for New York – if they hit their threes

Tonight’s game should be an easy win for the 23-10 Knicks, but the 7-24 Jazz, who have suffered three straight losses, actually beat them 121-106 in their last game in November this season.

Forward Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with 34 points on 11 of 15 from the field. The Knicks were 17 of 51 (33.3%) from three in the loss and their defense couldn’t stop the Jazz from behind the arc, who were 44 of 87 (50.6%) from three.

It was a bad night for the Knicks, including center Karl-Anthony Towns, who currently leads the team in three-pointers and is making just under 44% of his average 4.9 attempts per game.

Towns and Jalen Brunson need to hit their threes for the Knicks to win.

In the New York metropolitan area, the Knicks game will be broadcast on MSG. However, due to a royalty dispute between parent company Altice USA and MSG Networks, the channel is currently suspended on Optimum TV Cable.
