Georgia CFP bracket live updates: Playoff rankings, schedule

Now all that’s left is to wait for the College Football Playoff round.

The big reveal for Georgia football and other playoff contenders comes on ESPN in a show that begins at noon Sunday.

Georgia knows it has secured a spot in the CFP quarterfinals after beating Texas in overtime in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. The Bulldogs are scheduled to play in the Sugar Bowl on January 1st.

The top 12 seeds and the 12-team CFP bracket will be released first, and then the entire top 25 rankings will be announced later during a show that runs until 4 p.m. The rankings will therefore be announced to ESPN “within the first 30 minutes of the show”.

Who will Georgia play in the College Football Playoff?

Georgia will play the winner of a first-round game played Dec. 20 or 21. USA Today predicted Saturday night that the Bulldogs would be a No. 2 seed and play No. 7 Notre Dame or No. 10 Indiana.

CFP schedule

The first round games will be played on December 20th and 21st at the site of the higher seeded team. The four quarterfinal games will be played at bowl locations. The Fiesta Bowl is December 31st at 7:30 p.m., the Peach Bowl is January 1st at 1:00 p.m., the Rose Bowl is January 1st at 5:00 p.m., and the Sugar Bowl is January 1st at 8:00 p.m :45 p.m.
