Stay up to date on the Georgia vs. Texas SEC Championship game before and during the game.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns face an epic rematch this Saturday with not only the SEC Championship on the line, but also a berth in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff season. This will be just the seventh meeting ever between these two teams in a series where Texas leads 4-2.

The Dawgs defeated the Longhorns in their first meeting, stifling Texas’ offensive attack, holding them to just 15 points and handing them their first and only loss of the 2024 regular season. Georgia will need to repeat its successes on the defensive side of the ball to make this one Win the game and be crowned SEC champions again

As for injury news, college football insider Pete Thamel reported that Georgia running back Branson Robinson likely won’t be available for today’s contest. The running back room has remained tight all season for the Dawgs as Trevor Etienne is also dealing with an injury and is questionable. Georgia got Roderick Robinson back from injury for the first time this season against Georgia Tech last week.

The Bulldogs and Longhorns will face off this afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ABC.
