Another day, another season and another sketch. That’s right, we’re back with our daily look at NBC Saturday Night Live and his ongoing “SNL: 50 Seasons in 50 Days,” a tribute to the 50 seasons of the long-running late-night live sketch comedy and music series that spotlights one sketch from a season. For this round we are looking at the fifth show of the 38th season (October 20, 2012) with the presenter and musical guest Bruno Mars. The sketch? Let’s just leave a few clues: a club guarded by “tramps,” human pinatas, and “Sidney Applebaum, the Jewish Dracula.” That’s right, Bill Hader‘s Stefon joins the “Weekend Update” offer Seth Meyers And for those watching at home and planning to travel to NYC for Halloween, get a rundown of everything you need to know and the hottest place to check out. Peacocks SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night is a four-part documentary honoring SNL’s legacy with over 60 contributors, including SNL alumni, covering decades of SNL history. Each episode highlights some of the show’s most iconic elements, delves into SNL’s rich history, and provides insight into the audition process, the writers’ room, the fan-favorite “More Cowbell” sketch, and the pivotal Season 11.

Episode 101, “Five Minutes” – A showcase of the casting process with never-before-seen casting footage and first-hand accounts from some of the show’s biggest names as they reflect on their preparation and journey to the SNL stage.
