Harrison Ford reveals why he doesn’t go to awards afterparties

Harrison Ford always keeps a cool head, even when his colleagues don’t let him!

The 82-year-old actor spoke with diversity And Entertainment tonight ahead of the 2025 Golden Globes about his extensive experience at awards shows, dating back to his first win nearly 40 years ago. And while other stars may be more vocal at events like these, Ford said he always remains calm and collected.

“I always behave very well at award shows,” the actor replied diversityMark Malkin asks about his “wildest” moment at these events.

But Malkin didn’t buy it. “Harrison Ford afterparties, they’re legendary!” he teased.

“Oh, no, no, no,” Ford replied. “I don’t think I’ve ever been there! I usually go straight home.”

Twenty-three years ago, in 2002, Ford received the Cecil B. deMille Award – given to notable individuals who have made major contributions to the film industry. He is the 50th winner.

However, Ford doesn’t have particularly vivid memories of the honor.

“(I remember) very little. Very little, except that it was a long time ago and I was very grateful for the attention,” he said diversity And ANDHe added that he has now gotten used to the recognition.

In addition to his Cecil B. deMille Award, Ford has received four Golden Globes in his career to date.

The Indiana Jones Legend is recognized for his portrayal of Dr. Paul Rhoades in nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television Shrinkage.

The AppleTV+ comedy-drama focuses on a therapist, Jimmy Laird, who grieves the loss of his wife while breaking the rules and becoming more involved in his clients’ lives. Jason Segel, who plays Laird, was also nominated for best actor in a television series – musical or comedy.
