The app, now available to download from the Reindeer Ready Hub, allows parents to capture footage of Santa’s reindeer as they stop by the house on Christmas Eve.

It’s really easy to sort. All you need to do is visit reindeerready.co.uk/live on your phone or tablet as it doesn’t work on desktop.

To make it even easier, there is a QR code that you can also scan.

Once you click Get Started, you can choose a photo or record a location in your home where you want the reindeer to appear.

The Flip Reindeer option also allows you to choose how you want to position the animal.

Accept the terms and conditions, wait 30 seconds while your video is processed, and you’re ready to go! You have a reindeer as a pet – so to speak.

Once that’s all done, you can share it on social media or send it via email.

Additionally, limited-edition Reindeer Treats will be available at all McDonald’s restaurants in the UK for 79p – prices vary by restaurant.
