Here's how to watch the SEC Championship Game

Texas football’s first season in the Southeastern Conference will be playing for a championship.

Standing in their way is Georgia, the powerhouse of SEC football and a team that handed Texas its only loss earlier this season. The Bulldogs have won two national championships this decade and three wins over top-25 teams despite a 10-2 record. The College Football Playoff Committee has Georgia ranked No. 5, as did the LBM USA Coaches Poll.

At this point, the Longhorns have all but secured a playoff spot. Texas is currently ranked No. 2 in the CFP playoff rankings and the US LBM Coaches Poll and would secure a first-round bye with a win. A loss means the Longhorns would likely host a first-round playoff game.

At least Texas has earned bragging rights over its in-state rivals. A&M, which beat Texas last week, still hasn’t played in a title game in its 13 years in the SEC.

Things are different than the last time Texas played Georgia. Running back Quintrevion Wisner’s breakout cleared the way for the Longhorns’ rushing attack. The Longhorns have given up five sacks in four games since allowing seven sacks against the Bulldogs and four against the Commodores.

If the Texas offensive line can keep quarterback Quinn Ewers clean sheet this time, it has a chance to clinch the SEC title on Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Texas-Georgia game will be broadcast on ABC. Streaming options for the SEC title game include the Watch ESPN streaming service and Fubo.
