Hockey will play three games this week

Alaska Anchorage will play three away games this week. Alaska Anchorage will play at Stonehill on Wednesday and Merrimack on Friday and Saturday.

Alaska Anchorage leads the all-time series against Merrimack at 5-2-0 and is 1-1-0 against the Warriors in Massachusetts.

Coach Shasby
Head coach Matt Shasby is entering his third season leading the Seawolves. The Anchorage native has a 25-46-5 record as UAA’s bench boss. Shasby is supported this season by Chris Kamal, Aaron McPheters And Vincent Pietrangelo.

Point leader
Freshmen Dimitry Kebreau leads the Seawolves with 11 points this season after assisting on both of UAA’s goals at UW last weekend. The Silver Spring, Md., native has three goals and eight assists this season, a team-high for his team. He has nine points (one goal, eight assists) in his last six games.

Freshmen
UAA’s freshmen scored four of the team’s five points last weekend at Wisconsin. The freshman class leads the team in goals (12) and points (25).

Third period
The Seawolves scored both of their goals in the second period last week at Wisconsin. UAA scored more goals in the third period (15) than in the first and second periods combined (14).

goalkeeper
Freshmen Tyler Krivtsov made his third start of the season last week at Wisconsin. The Santa Clarita, Calif., native made 14 saves and allowed a goal in 20 minutes of relief work in the first game. In a tie in the second game, he made 44 saves on 45 shots.

UAA is 2-0-2 when scoring first this season.

Alaska Anchorage lost 7-1 and tied 1-1 at Wisconsin last weekend.
