The original Home alonein which fans continue to discover new nooks and crannies to this day, published 34 years ago.

Yes, you read that correctly. We first met the McCallisters about 34 years ago and we all felt really old.

Home alone has undoubtedly stood the test of time and is considered by many to be one of the best holiday films ever made, with some households even watching the film multiple times in the lead up to the big day.

In the first film, released in 1990, troubled boy Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) is accidentally abandoned by his family as they head off for the Christmas holidays.

Kevin stays home alone during the holidays and has to fend for himself. The scenes that all fans love show Kevin wreaking havoc on Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), aka the Wet Bandits, through a series of stunts, with the perpetrators suffering multiple serious injuries.

Home alone 2 followed a few years later, which included many similar antics, but this time in New York.

There is an official third film in… Home alone series, a parody ‘Home Alone 3′ The trailer is doing the rounds on social media.

The third film, titled Kevin’s Revenge, imagines what it would be like if the Wet Bandits were released from prison today and turned their attention to the child, now a grown adult, who sent them through hell many years ago has.

Even though Kevin was in his 40s, we have no doubt that this movie would have been utter chaos and a lot of fun. However, there was one Home alone 3 (and even a Home Alone 4 btw), but they really weren’t well received.

The third part follows eight-year-old Alex Pruitt as he defends his home against a dangerous group of criminals.

Alex gets a remote control car because he helps his neighbor, Ms. Hess, shovel snow off her driveway.

But he has no idea that the seemingly harmless toy car contains a top secret computer chip – which the thieves are trying with all their might to get.

Alex then has to fend off the criminals who want to use the chip to help a terrorist organization.

Real life Home alone 3 was incredibly poorly received by fans and critics alike, perhaps due to the fact that Macaulay Culkin and the Wet Bandits were nowhere to be seen.
