Hoosiers get top-notch shooting performance in win over Maine

BLOOMINGTON – Indiana women’s basketball’s rollercoaster season continued with a 78-53 win over Maine on Sunday at Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers (5-3; 0-0 Big Ten) suffered a 30-point loss in the final of the Battle 4 Atlantis, one of the most lopsided defeats of coach Teri Moren’s tenure. It was also the second time in a matter of weeks that the team failed to score 50 points, but the same IU team also posted impressive wins against two ranked opponents (Stanford and Baylor) this season.

Their performance on Sunday was similar to those wins, even without starting player Sydney Parrish, who is expected to miss several weeks with a knee injury she suffered in the Bahamas.
