Emmy Award-winning actor Martin Short will return to Rockefeller Plaza this weekend to host Saturday Night Live for the tenth episode of the show’s 50th season.

The return marks the third time the Only Murders in the Building star has hosted the long-running comedy show.

Short, 74, first appeared as a cast member on the NBC late-night series from 1984 to 1985. He last appeared as a co-host alongside fellow actor and comedian Steve Martin, 79, in December 2022 during season 48.

Short is nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy at the 2025 Golden Globes for New York City Murders, which just wrapped its fourth season on Hulu.

Last week, comedian Chris Rock hosted SNL and musician Gracie Abrams was the show’s musical guest.
