Winter Storm: Hourly snow forecast for south-central Pennsylvania

TEENAGERS AND EVEN INTO THEIR 20S. STORM TEAM AGAIN LIVE RADAR NETWORK AND WATCH THE STORMS OVER MIFFLIN, JUNIATA AND PERRY COUNTIES NOW. BUT THE BIG STORY THAT WE KEEP IN MIND, SOMETHING THAT WE KEEP AN EYE ON, WILL BE THIS NEXT BIG STORM SYSTEM THAT’S COMING. It’s just out here on the plains taking a look at our radar network that will be moving throughout the day Sunday evening. ON MONDAY. I WILL HAVE THE TIME HERE IN JUST A SECOND WITH OUR PREDICTOR. BUT ACROSS THE COMMONWEALTH WE ARE SEEING CLOUDS REALLY BUILDING DUE TO THE NORTHWEST COURSE THAT IS COMING INTO THE VALLEY NOW, THE TIME IS SUNDAY EVENING. Here is what we expect. WE WILL START INCREASE IN CLOUDS THROUGHOUT THE EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT TIME, AROUND 4:00 MORNING. Then we’re starting to see these heavier bands of snow move into the Susquehanna Valley, starting in our westernmost areas, that the bulk of the snow will arrive as we head to work in the morning. Therefore, there could also be some problems with the morning impact on travel once we head to work in the morning, especially on untreated roads. AND WE ALSO LOOK INTO THE AFTERNOON OR LUNCH, STILL A PROBLEM WITH THE IMPACT ON THE TRIP. But once the roads are treated it shouldn’t be too much of a problem by evening. IN THE AFTERNOON YOU MAY SEE A REALLY LARGE, THICK BAND OF BREAKDOWN SNOW OR MODERATE TO MODERATE SNOW CARRYING INTO MONDAY. BUT BY MONDAY EVENING, MOST OF THIS SYSTEM HAS BEEN EXCLUDED AND WILL BE HEARD FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. WE WILL STILL SEE A FEW LONG PERSONAL THUNDERSTORY SHOWERS OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY, BUT HERE IS OUR SNOW MAP. Expected accumulations will be approximately 3 to 6 inches, primarily in areas south of the barrier. 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED NORTH OF THE TURN PIKE. AND THIS IS WHAT WE EXPECT FOR THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. HERE IS OUR STORM SCHEDULE FOR MONDAY. LIGHT TO MODERATE, SNOW TO TEMPERATURES DEVELOPING INTO THE 20S. The streets are covered from morning to afternoon. WE WILL SEE MORE OF THE LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW. AND THIS KIND OF SNOW WILL BE EVEN FLUFFIER.
