LeBron James spearheaded the Lakers in their highly anticipated NBA Christmas Day showdown against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. The four-time champion got off to a great start, scoring the Lakers’ first six points and assisting Rui Hachimura on a corner 3-pointer.

The 20-time All-Star was instrumental in the Lakers’ early momentum, contributing to all nine of the team’s first points and stopping the Warriors’ early 8-0 run.

The four-time champion finished the first quarter with eight points, three rebounds and one assist and shot 4 of 7 from the field.

After Anthony Davis had to leave the game early due to an injury, LeBron took charge for the Lakers at the start of the second quarter and helped JJ Redick’s team take the lead. The four-time MVP was a force on both ends of the court, showing tremendous energy and determination.
