The cast and crew of Baby reindeer had an unforgettable evening at the Golden Globes 2025.

After being nominated for Best Anthology Limited Series or Television Movie, Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Movie, and Best Female Supporting Actress – Television. Richard Gadd, Jessica Gunning and Netflix learned they had won their first Golden Globe.

“I can’t believe any of this is happening to me,” said Gunning, 38, as she accepted her award for best female supporting actress – television. “Baby reindeer changed my life in ways I can’t even explain.”

Gadd, 35, lost out on the award for best performance by a male actor in a limited series, anthology series or television film Colin Farrell for his role The penguin.

Before any awards were presented at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 5, both Gadd and Gunning expressed their gratitude for the recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press.

“I’m more than excited about it Baby reindeer has been nominated for three Golden Globes,” Gadd said in a statement in December 2024 when the nominations were first announced. “Almost every year I watched the event in the hope of one day being in the audience, sitting among the best in the business and being roasted on an international level. So it’s a dream come true.”

Gadd has faced several Hollywood legends including Colin Farrell (The penguin), Kevin Kline (Disclaimer), Cooper Koch (Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez), Ewan McGregor(A gentleman in Moscow) And Andrew Scott (Ripley).

Gunning was just as excited to be in the same category as Liza Colon-Zayas (The bear), Hannah Einbinder (hacks), Dakota Fanning (Ripley), Allison Janney (The diplomat) And Kali rice (True Detective: Night Country).

“It’s hard to describe how excited I am to be nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress – alongside some of my idols, no less!” she said in December 2024. “I think I might need someone , pinching me to make sure I’m not dreaming.”

Baby reindeerwhich first premiered in April 2024, follows a comedian named Donny (Gadd) as he deals with a stalker named Martha (Gunning).

Donny’s tense situation strains his relationships with friends and family and forces him to confront past traumas.

Receiving one Golden Globes nomination is an honor, but receiving two in the same year for two different projects is a special achievement. Several stars have received simultaneous Golden Globes nominations for television and film roles over the years. The show’s success surprised many, including Gadd, who also serves as creator.

“I remember thinking, ‘Maybe someone will watch it on the weekend.’ Maybe I’ll get a few text messages.’ But literally the moment it went off, my phone exploded,” Gadd said in a June 2024 appearance Today with Hoda & Jenna. “It felt like it was overnight when suddenly everyone was talking about us – about us, about the show. And then it started becoming number 1 in all these countries around the globe. It was just crazy.”
