How much snow will there be in New Hampshire tonight? See forecast totals

Areas of New Hampshire could see a few inches of snow as a winter storm moves in Wednesday night into Thursday, but only a rain-snow mix is expected in the Seacoast region.

“Last week’s storm fell on a holiday, but this one will fall on a business day,” National Weather Service meteorologist Jerry Combs said Wednesday morning. “That means it could be a chaotic commute to work on Thursday (December 5).”

Snow is expected to start around 7pm this evening. A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of the state, but not for the Seacoast region.

How many centimeters of snow are expected?

The snowfall that will begin tonight (Dec. 4) will fall in non-coastal areas of New Hampshire, Combs said, adding that there will be “a rain-snow mix” in the state’s coastal regions become.

“We are confident there will be more snow away from these coastal areas,” Combs said. “Inland, toward the foothills of Maine, we will see about 3 to 5 inches of snow between Wednesday night and Thursday.

He added that southern and central parts of New Hampshire would see “about 6 to 8 inches.” We could see more in the higher areas.

How cold will it be in the next few days?

When the storm moves away later Thursday, very cold temperatures will follow Friday and Saturday, Combs said.
