Listen – I’m obviously not the biggest Colby Covington fan in the world, but I like Hulk Hogan’s theme WITH The Hulkster himself flanking you and waving the American flag? This is something every young wrestling fan has dreamed of.

I mean, I know Hulk has had his fair share of really bad misadventures and controversies over the years, but in preschool I had the guy above my family on a list of things I liked…

He meant a lot to a lot of us when we were little, okay?! We ate our vitamins and said our prayers! So yeah, as much as I hate Colby Covington – and I hate Colby Covington – I can’t hate this too much. He plays the American villain and got two of the best American “villains” of all time to take him out: “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan and “The American Gangster” Chael Sonnen. It was kind of perfect.

I could say that pre-cutting the shirt was lame and the work of a beta male.

….or I guess I could complain that with the “Real American” strike we missed his usual Kurt Angle inspired strike – complete with chants of “YOU SUCK”. This is usually pretty good.

And if we’re being nitpicky, it kind of saddened me to see how slow the Hulkster is moving these days, and I’m going to blame Colby for highlighting that… and for being such a hateful guy to do that Audiences didn’t even really want Hulk Hogan to show up in Tampa. Fuck Colby!

I haven’t even really mentioned Chael Sonnen either – but he’s been a great mouthpiece for Covington all week…

Chael as Covington’s Paul Heyman is much more interesting and funnier than Colby, who speaks for himself. He should get Sonnen to do promos for him whenever humanly possible.

UPDATE: I was going to post this in a separate blog, but I thought I’d just throw it away at the end of this blog – Joaquin Buckley simply beat the hell out of Colby Covington; He took the victory via doctor stop in the third round.
