While the new year has just begun, the 2025 TV schedule is already teeming with new series Miss youwhich can be streamed with a Netflix subscription. Based on Harlan Coben’s novel of the same name, the series revolves around a detective who discovers her “missing” fiancé via a dating app more than 10 years after his mysterious disappearance. It’s not just the premise that fascinates me, the detective is also played Slow horses Starring Rosalind Eleazar. However, the low viewership might put me off.

Miss you was one of the first shows on Netflix’s 2025 schedule as it was canceled on January 1st. While I was excited to have a new show to obsess over, especially since it’s currently ranked #2 on the streamer’s top 10, that’s not the case. Things don’t seem to be doing well on Rotten Tomatoes. Not only does it have 50% critics on the Tomatometer, but the audience rating is only 31%. I’m not usually one to read reviews of a show or movie before watching it because I like to form my own opinion on it, but it’s kind of hard to ignore this terrible review.

This terrible score really pisses me off for a few reasons. First of all, I really loved the premise of this show. Secondly, I was excited to see how Eleazar leads the series because she is great in it Slow horses (which you can watch with an Apple TV+ subscription). She played Louisa Guy in all four seasons of the great Apple TV+ series and in the fifth season of Slow horses With a sixth season already in the works, I’m looking forward to seeing more of the cast in other projects while we wait.

However, there is no way around it, the score for Miss you is disappointing and leaves a sour taste in my mouth, especially since I’m a fan of the lead actress. However, I will still watch the show to form my own opinion, but maybe not right away.

Miss you It may not be getting good reviews from fans and critics alike, but that doesn’t take away from the intriguing premise and ensemble cast, which also includes Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton and Marc Warren. So I’m going to give it a chance, and maybe you should too.

Now, as we look beyond this show and look forward to the rest of 2025, I’m grateful that Netflix has many other projects ahead of us, including the final season of Stranger Things and season 2 of Wednesday. This means we can quickly leave behind the series that the audience obviously doesn’t like.
