Icy temperatures + gusty winds + accumulating lake effect snow

  • Lake County: Winter weather advisory until 7 a.m. Friday.

Lake effect snow squalls will occur this evening across portions of Lake & Ashtabula County. Lake effect snow will continue in Ashtabula and Lake counties through early Friday. The further east you live, the higher the number of snowfalls. The highest totals will be in northern and eastern Ashtabula County, where 3 to 5 inches is possible. Further south in Ashtabula, 1 to 3 inches is expected. Lake and Geauga counties are expected to see 1 inch. Some storms and some sunshine are expected elsewhere. The high temperatures will be a struggle throughout the day. Temperatures around 20 degrees with gusty winds and wind chills near zero throughout the day.
The cold won’t last long. Temperatures will begin to moderate heading into the weekend and the chance of rain will increase late Saturday and Sunday. If you go to the Browns Game, plan on rain
