ConsequenceAside from Fox News-style battles, they want to keep Fox News in the family.

Hence the joy in right-wing circles at the news that Fox legend Sean Hannity and his colleague Ainsley Earhardt will tie the knot after the veteran host popped the question over Christmas in a church.

The couple “originally connected through their deep faith,” Fox said in a glowing statement about the union, a long-distance relationship that blossomed. “The two have put God first in their relationship,” it continued. Their children from previous marriages are reportedly happy about it and their former spouses were also informed about it before the announcement, they said.

It’s a storybook love story with picket fences and all-American love that follows a series of personal missteps and scandals at Murdoch’s lucrative cable news network.

Earhardt, 48, has worked at Fox News since 2007 and regularly emphasizes her Christian faith. That’s perhaps why she visits the altar so regularly – this will be her third wedding.

The 48-year-old was married to Will Proctor, the former Clemson Tigers quarterback, from 2012 to 2019. That relationship ended in an ungodly turmoil because he “had an affair with one of her best friends a long time ago,” according to DailyMail.com. , a story he angrily denied.

The couple, whose daughter Hayden is now nine, were said to have lived in separate apartments in New York City for months leading up to their split.

“After much prayer and careful consideration, Will and I have separated,” she said in a statement at the time. This came after Earhardt first experienced divorce in 2009 when she split from college boyfriend Kevin McKinney, whom she married in South Carolina in 2005.

However, both Earhardt and Hannity are “still on good terms” with their ex-spouses and “everyone supports each other,” according to the Fox News power couple.

The couple now seems ready for another attempt at marriage – again, of course, guided by their unshakable faith.

Hannity, 62, was more successful in marriage than his new fiancée. His marriage to Jill Rhodes lasted from 1993 to 2020, although the couple was separated for some time before publicly announcing their separation. They share a 26-year-old son named Patrick and a 23-year-old daughter, Merri.

Fox said the hosting pair will continue in their current roles, with Hannity retaining the reins of his long-running eponymous show and Earhardt slotting between Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade Fox & friends Sofa.

Their relationship began out of the public eye and only came to light in 2020. Hannity, who lives in Florida, visited Earhardt at her home in New York over the weekend, and then they took turns, Fox said.

And President-elect Donald Trump has given his seal of approval. “Great news about Sean and Ainsley. They are officially engaged!” he wrote on Truth Social on Friday morning. “There are no better people than these, and there will be no more beautiful couple. Congratulations to both – a deal made in heaven!!! DJT.”

“Two wonderful people!” Embattled former Florida lawmaker Matt Gaetz gushed on X Thursday night, sharing a New York Post article on the news, in a break from reports of his own alleged sexual misconduct. Pete Hegseth, who is also under fire, has not yet publicly commented on the news, although he has commented on the former Fox & friends The co-host will likely have some thoughts on this, as he too has had his own shaky moments that contradict The Good Book.

Hegseth, Donald TrumpThe controversial candidate for Secretary of Defense and a proud man of God reportedly admitted to his first wife Meredith Schwarz that he cheated on her five times and called himself “a shitty human being” as their relationship fell apart between his infidelity, Vanity Fair previously reported.

It emerged that Hegseth was allegedly dating Samantha Deering, a woman who also worked at the charity Vets for Freedom and whom he would later marry. Then he allegedly did the dirty thing to her too.

In 2017 he has had a baby with Fox News producer Jennifer Rauchet, whom he met while he was still married to Deering. When she found out, she also divorced Hegseth. He and Rauchet married in 2019 and are still together today.

Proud Christians Hannity, Earhardt and Hegseth have had a total of five divorces. The Bible, of course, teaches that marriage should be lifelong – although it does allow for divorce in certain circumstances, such as adultery.

The child was born less than two months earlier, allegedly Hegseth committed sexual assault against another woman, although he has denied this allegation on the grounds that it was consensual sex. Hegseth was reportedly quite drunk most of his time at the station.

But its alleged failings aren’t even the worst Fox has to offer, as the network has to dig deep to protect its reputation in the wake of a scandal involving late Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes.

The network’s former anchorwoman, Gretchen Carlson, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Ailes, setting off a series of events that drew other women to speak out and ultimately led to the empire boss’s ouster. 21st Century Fox reached a $20 million settlement with Carlson.

Ailes faced allegations of groping, demanding sex and promoting a general culture of misogyny during his time as head of Fox News, as well as other allegations from before his time as the most powerful executive in the Murdoch empire. Ailes denied everything, reportedly received a $40 million settlement, and died not long after, in May 2017, at the age of 77.

That same year, Fox found itself in trouble again after political commentator Scottie Nell Hughes filed a lawsuit alleging that host Charles Payne raped her and then forced her into a years-long sexual relationship in exchange for promises of favors the New York Times. She said she was slandered by Fox after she reported her claims to the network. Payne and Fox disputed the claims and a judge dismissed some of them before the parties could reach an agreement The Hollywood Reporter.

This came just weeks after Fox ousted longtime host Eric Bolling and canceled the show he co-hosted after it was revealed he had texted lewd photos to three female colleagues. Payne was the fifth high-profile man at Fox to be accused of sexual harassment or assault in two years.

Since Carlson sued Ailes in 2016, Fox has hired a new human resources director and encouraged employees to report misconduct.

For their part, the God-fearing Hannity and Earhardt thought the church was the “perfect” place to get engaged, and they’re looking forward to another attempt at a lifelong relationship. “We are overjoyed and so grateful to our families for all their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” said Earhardt and Hannity.

Fox has been contacted for further comment.
