Will you be my passenger (pop) princess?

That’s the question “Carpool Karaoke” is asking this holiday season with its first-ever holiday special.

“A Carpool Karaoke Christmas,” which airs Monday in the U.S. and Friday worldwide on Apple TV, stars Dua Lipa, Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga.

However, they do not “carpool”. The three stars each get their own segment, accompanied by Zane Lowe, host of Apple Music’s in-house interview show, as he chauffeurs them around another city. The segments are then strung together to form an hour-long Christmas episode.

Originally a comedy on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show,” “Carpool Karaoke” spawned countless viral moments and eventually led Apple TV to turn it into a full series.

It’s based on a “stars, they’re just like us!” philosophy, turning music icons into dashboard drummers as they run through their hits and often drop Easter eggs about their careers.

The holiday offering is no different. Here are the top moments.

Chappell Roan carpools with parents in the Midwest

The “Princess of the Midwest” herself opens the episode welcoming Lowe to her native Missouri. The two drive through a classic American landscape, with Roan’s parents in the back seat.

Both of Roan’s parents appear emotional during a rendition of “Pink Pony Club,” a song that is primarily about her mother.

“That song, I love singing it with her at her shows,” said her mother, Kara. “Even when we grow up, we really care about what our parents think about us. And I hope she always knows that: that we love her so much and can never help but be proud of her.”

“She gives us great hope,” father Dwight added, shedding a few tears about how his daughter taught him to respect and love all people.

The tour of her hometown continued with stops at Andy’s Frozen Custard shop along with Roan’s childhood friends and a theater where she was promoting her album.

In between singing along to “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and Justin Bieber’s “Drummer Boy,” Roan spoke with Lowe about growing up in a religious family and the freedom she felt when she moved to Los Angeles.

The “Good Luck Babe” singer expressed bittersweet gratitude for the place where she grew up, reiterating that she’s happy to be from there but also happy to be leaving.

Dua Lipa sings “New Rules” and speaks breakup anthems

Lipa’s segment goes international when Lowe drives her to a show in Tokyo, where the “Levitating” singer performed two shows to promote her third album, “Radical Optimism.” Her tour for the album continues next year, with shows in North America beginning in September.

The pair run through their biggest hits, including “New Rules” and “Houdini,” as well as some Christmas classics.

She shares her philosophy on keeping life exciting by trying new things and valuing good relationships after having a few bad relationships. After all, she is the queen of the breakup anthem.

“It’s crazy how many girls have come up to me and said, ‘You helped me through my breakup,'” the singer said. “It’s surreal how music can have this effect.”

Lady Gaga’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment gets a cameo from Brian Johnson

Gaga, the trio’s pop veteran, is bringing the show back to the US with a trip to Los Angeles.

To add to the holiday spirit, the two delve into Gaga’s extensive catalog for “Christmas Tree,” a little-known song the artist released in 2008. Shortly after the “Poker Face” singer tells Lowe that she prefers a Christmas song the whole family can sing, it’s somewhat vulgar lyrics get some laughs.

One final celebrity cameo comes midway through Gaga’s segment, as Brian Johnson, lead singer of AC/DC, joins the carpool for a brief appearance. And it wouldn’t be Gaga without an outfit change. For “Die With A Smile,” her most recent collaboration with Bruno Mars, she wears an orange wig like the one she wore in the track’s music video.

The special ends with Gaga inviting Lowe into the studio to record a grunge rock version of “Santa Clause is Coming to Town.” The song is available on all music streaming platforms from today.

“It was hands down the most fun I’ve ever had in a car. “I’m very grateful to James for trusting me to get behind the wheel of a very expensive car with three of the most exciting artists in music and I’m honored to be a part of it.” “We want to make this special ‘A Carpool Karaoke Christmas’ to fans around the world,” Lowe said in a statement from Apple TV.
