In the debut of They Call it Late Night with Jason Kelce

The show’s title was even used as an ode to the first episode of NFL Films ever aired.

Development of the late-night show began back in February when Kelce worked with Wooderboy Productions, Skydance Sports, ESPN and NFL Films to get everything off the ground.

“Before you know it, you’re building a team with NFL Films. They go to ESPN for exchange and communication. You build sets, you build writers, you build, you know who we can have on the show, which admittedly comes back in the latter part, but what are we going to do? a lot will happen “Would it be the panel dialogue? I really felt like it would be nice to do these fun bits with comedy,” Kelce said.

Kelce opened the show by taking the stage from behind the crowd, where he spoke to fans and thanked them for being part of the debut.

From there, he opened the premiere the only way Jason Kelce could: with a beer.

This was no ordinary chug, however, as he was mentored by Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Eagles wide receiver Harold Carmichael, who gave him a boost of confidence regarding the show’s performance.

And of course, Jason’s wife Kylie had to make a statement to the audience regarding viewer discretion about all the language used on the show, joking that Kelce’s kids might be used to it, but others watching at home might be used to it should be pointed out.

And similar to many talk shows, the venue featured a live band that performed during breaks and at various times throughout the show. Snacktime had the honor of playing on top of Union Transfer’s balcony.

“I really wanted brass, but when I think about NFL music and Snacktime did my first benefit concert for my own charity years ago. So I knew her. You can do everything. I mean, they have something like that.” “They have the talent to do a lot of things. They are excellent musicians,” Kelce said.

“It was important to me, whoever did this, to be in Philadelphia, to be a part of the Philadelphia scene. And we tried to do that the whole time, we really succeeded. The show is obviously filmed here. The venue is here. I felt it.” It was important to me to pay respect to the city that gave me my career, to try to make it as Philadelic as possible and not to appear as Philadelic as possible on the outside.

“This first show will certainly be a nice Philly theater, but eventually it will evolve into a show that feels more national, but I always want the Philly roots to be felt and heard. So that was an important thing for us.”

The Ohio native also paid homage to fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel by appearing through a portal in front of the comedian and asking his advice for his first show.
