Inexpensive Chicken Broth has been recalled by Walmart over concerns about “spoilage.”

Walmart has recalled more than 12,000 boxes of broth in nine states over concerns it may be past its expiration date.

The retail giant has pulled the inexpensive chicken broth from shelves due to damaged packaging.

According to Fox News, the affected product is sold in a total of 242 stores.

The affected states are: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.

The reason for the recall is “possibility of packaging defects that could compromise the sterility of the product and lead to spoilage.”

The broth had an expiration date of March 2025. The boxes are printed with the UPC code “007874206684.”

To date, there have been no reports of a customer becoming ill.
