The Lakers will play their 27th game of the season and their second of the season against the Kings. The Lakers will try to move three games above .500 and keep the Kings below them in the West standings.

Every game is crucial, especially when facing Western opponents. The Lakers need to show up full of weapons; However, there are a lot of players on the injury report in LA ahead of the game, including their superstar Anthony Davis.

Davis was listed as probable due to his left plantar fasciitis. His foot problem continues and will likely concern him for the rest of the season.

The nine-time All-Star had one of his best games of the season on Sunday when he scored 40 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 33 minutes against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Due to a shoulder injury, Davis had to miss the game for a short time; However, he was able to get back into the game and finish it. It looked like a scary injury, but luckily it was just a spike.

Despite the Lakers having their two best players available more often this season, LA was one of the league’s most deficient teams. There are a lot of injuries in LA, especially upfront, with players like Christian Wood, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaxson Hayes missing.

These three players have played a combined 11 games, and Hayes has played in all 11 games. The Lakers need some help on this front, and a trade may be the solution. As LA has learned in the past, you can’t count on getting players back from injury.
