To keep the celebration going, NBC will air the documentary Ladies and gentlemen… 50 years of SNL music, Co-directed by Oz Rodriguez and The Roots drummer, Tonight’s show Bandleader and Oscar-winning filmmaker Questlove. The three-hour special promises “untold stories behind the culture-defining, groundbreaking and headline-grabbing musical performances, skits and cameos of the last 50 years.” The film premieres January 27 on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
