Is there a new “Saturday Night Live” episode tonight (01/04/25)?

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Fans of “Saturday Night Live” will have to wait a little longer for their next dose of sketch comedy as the show skips a new episode this week.

Instead, NBC will re-air Episode 4 of Season 50 with award-winning actor Michael Keaton as host and Grammy-winning artist Billie Eilish as musical guest.

“SNL” has not yet announced its next hosts and musical guests for the season.

On September 28th, the show began its 50th season with actress Jean Smart and musical guest Jelly Roll. On October 5th, stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze hosted with musical guest Coldplay. It was Bargatze’s second time hosting.

On October 12, singer-songwriter and actress Ariana Grande hosted for the second time with musical guest Stevie Nicks. Award-winning actor Michael Keaton hosted on October 19, while Grammy winner Billie Eilish took the stage as musical guest. It was both Keaton and Eilish’s fourth time appearing on “SNL.”

On November 2nd, stand-up comedian and actor John Mulaney hosted for the sixth time with pop singer Chappell Roan as musical guest. Comedian and actor Bill Burr made his second appearance as host on November 9th with musical guest Mk.gee.

On November 16, singer-songwriter Charli XCX worked overtime as both host and musical guest. It was her first time hosting. On December 7th, Irish actor Paul Mescal hosted with musical guest Shaboozey. It was both Mescal and Shaboozey’s first time on the show.

On December 14, actor-comedian Chris Rock returned as host for the fourth time, with first musical guest Gracie Abrams.

“SNL” fans will be thrilled to learn that former Staten Islander Colin Jost, the longest-serving “Weekend Update” host in the show’s history, is still at the desk.

For Season 50, Jost will be joined by his longtime “Weekend Update” co-host Michael Che, along with Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, Kenan Thompson and Bowen Yang.

Standouts Marcello Hernández, James Austin Johnson, Michael Longfellow, Sarah Sherman and Devon Walker also returned. “SNL” also welcomed three new cast members for its 50th season: Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline.

In late summer, Punkie Johnson, Molly Kearney and Chloe Troast announced on social media that they had not been asked back. Johnson had been a cast member for four seasons, Kearney was a main cast member for two years, and Troast had just completed her first year.
