Is Zendaya engaged? And eight other highlights from the Golden Globes

Several winning actresses addressed the issue of age at the awards ceremony.

Demi Moore, 62, noted in her acceptance speech for best film actress in “The Substance” that she spent much of her career believing that while she was successful, she would never win major Hollywood awards.

She said the award reflected the film’s message, a body horror about a woman trading in her body for a younger, more beautiful version of herself.

“I just want to leave you with one thing that I think this film conveys: the moments when we think we’re not smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough or basically just not enough,” said Moore said.

“One woman said to me, “Just know that you will never be enough, but you can see the value of your worth if you just set the standard.”

After winning her award, she told reporters backstage how many women spend much of their lives as caregivers and are unable to expend their energy on the outside. And now, at 62, she is and “it feels really damn good.”

Jodie Foster, who is the same age as Moore, won best actress in a limited series and said the ’60s were a “golden age” because there’s “a hormone that happens when you suddenly say, ‘Oh ‘I don’t do that’.” “I don’t really care about all the stupid things anymore.”

She called this era the “most satisfying moment of my career.”
