Isabella Rossellini looks glamorous in red at the 2025 Golden Globes

In conclaveItalian actress Isabella Rossellini steals every scene she’s in as Sister Agnes, a nun working in the Vatican during the papal conclave. “I know my role is to be invisible and I was a shadow throughout the film, but the truth is the truth and when she speaks she does it with purity. She is not part of this power struggle, she cannot vote or become pope or even cardinal, but she still has great authority,” she said Terms and Conditions.

Her performance was widely praised by critics, despite only appearing on screen for less than 8 minutes in the religious drama. Rossellini is nominated for best supporting actress at the Golden Globes tonight.

For the occasion, she wore a glamorous red lace dress – custom-made by Dolce & Gabbana – complete with a cape and statement earrings.

Rossellini last attended the Globes in 1997, when she was nominated for her performance in the category of Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Movie Crime of the century.

That evening, Rossellini wore a cherry print dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 1996 collection. Today’s look relies even more on cherry red – the actress chose a dress, cape and shoes in this color.

After the message from her conclave When her Golden Globes nomination was announced, she posted on Instagram: “I’m completely overwhelmed by this news at the moment. My first thoughts go to my parents #ingridbergman and #robertorossellini and I am so grateful to be their daughter. Thank you to the members of the Golden Globes for this extraordinary honor.”

Her mother, actress Ingrid Bergman, won four Golden Globe Awards throughout her career, and her father, Roberto Rossellini, was a critically acclaimed director.
