Another CNN anchor says goodbye.

Journalist Alisyn Camerota announced on Instagram on Sunday that she was leaving the channel after a decade.

Sharing a photo of herself behind her desk, Camerota wrote: “Big news everyone! − Today is my last day at CNN.” She did not immediately announce her next steps, but said she would sign off from CNN on Sunday afternoon and share updates with her followers.

The news personality addressed her exit from the network in the closing moments of her final newscast, but did not reveal the reason for her exit.

“I have had such incredible opportunities here over the last ten plus years. I interviewed presidents, heroes and extraordinary people, the kind of career highlights I had dreamed of since I was a teenager,” Camerota said. “The journalists at CNN are the best in the entire news industry and it was an honor to have been their colleague.”

Addressing viewers, she added: “I am also honored to have been in your home for the last ten years and to have witnessed some of the greatest stories of our lives. I am always touched when a viewer comes to me and tells me that I helped them get through these challenging times.”

USA TODAY has reached out to CNN for comment.

Camerota, 58, joined the cable news giant in 2014 and served as host of the morning show “New Day” from 2015 to 2021. The Emmy-winning reporter then co-hosted “CNN Newsroom” and “CNN Tonight.” She published a memoir titled “Combat Love” earlier this year and a novel titled “Amanda Wakes Up” in 2017.

Camerota previously worked at Fox News for 16 years and in 2017 accused the network’s former CEO Roger Ailes of sexually harassing her. Because of her experience at the competitor, The Hollywood Reporter described Camerota in 2019 as CNN’s “Fox News whisperer.”

“I’m very conflicted about talking about (Fox News),” she told THR. “I wish I didn’t have to talk about it. I still have a lot of friends at Fox. I’m very close to some people at Fox. I still socialize with people at Fox. That’s why I don’t like to talk about how.” They run their business, but when I talk about it, the hypocrisy is so astonishing that I can’t help but talk about it.

In September, Camerota announced that her husband of more than 20 years had died after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

“I can’t think of anyone who overcomes a devastating diagnosis with more humor, humility and bravery than Tim,” she wrote on Instagram. “He was a phenomenal father, husband, friend and role model, and the rest of us try to follow in his footsteps.”

News of Camerota’s departure comes weeks after Chris Wallace, also formerly of Fox News, announced he was leaving CNN. CNN CEO and Chairman Mark Thompson thanked Wallace “for the dedication and wisdom he has brought to all his work at CNN and wished him well for the future.”

Wallace told The Daily Beast he would switch to streaming or podcasting.

In April, CNN anchor Poppy Harlow also left the network after first joining in 2008. CNN reported that she no longer had an anchor spot due to shifts in the network’s lineup.

Camerota’s colleagues shared their support in response to her exit announcement, with Harlow commenting on Instagram: “Always with love and admiration. You are the epitome of grace, wit, wisdom and joy.”

Norah O’Donnell, who is departing as anchor of “CBS Evening News,” also commented: “Congratulations on your great achievement! You are a great presenter and journalist. I always love watching you.”
