Adam Copeland returned to AEW Worlds End after being sidelined since May with a broken tibia.

Copeland appeared in the closing moments of AEW Worlds End, targeting AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

Adam Copeland then spoke at the AEW Worlds End post-show media scrum, and Corey Lieb of the Wrestling Observer asked him about his recovery.

“It’s one of those deals. If you look at my career, it’s not out of character for me to do crazy things,” said Adam Copeland. “It’s something I do every now and then. I resist and decide, “Yeah, I’ll jump through a burning table, sure.”

“So it’s just me. It’s somehow firmly anchored in me. I also think it’s one of the reasons why I got to where I got to. However, I also realize that I am closer to the end of my career than the beginning, and I have children now. So there’s a different mindset behind it.”

Copeland then noted that he had been acquitted for a while. Due to Hurricane Helene

“As far as recovery goes, I’m still lucky that I’m recovering like Wolverine. Part of it is I just strive for it,” Copeland said. “The day I can do it is the day I do it. I’ve actually been on lockdown for a while, but Tony and I were talking, our area was hit by a hurricane. That’s why it was much more important to be home. The boil water advisory was lifted three weeks ago.

“So we have been using water bottles to brush our teeth and wash our hands for almost three months. When real life hits like that, that suddenly has to take second place. Fortunately, we have reached a point where this is taken into account and respected. But when it comes to being back and ready, I’m just ready to go because at this stage every month feels like a year to me. So I have to go in and I have to start cooking.”

Tony Khan previously said Copeland helped FEMA workers with Hurricane Helene relief.
