Jack Quaid, the son of Hollywood stars Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, recently shared insights into his parents’ initial reluctance about his decision to pursue acting. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on December 27th, the guys Star revealed that while his parents ultimately supported his ambitions, they were initially cautious.

“They weren’t too keen on it at first because they knew how hard it was for them,” Jack explained. “They said, ‘Oh God, of course we have another one.’ “Despite their concerns, Jack expressed his gratitude for any encouragement.

Jack, 32, emphasized that his passion for acting came from his personal love of the craft and not just his parents’ legacy. “I don’t know how I would have mentally survived in the entertainment industry if I didn’t really love what I did,” he said. “If I had done this just to be a famous person or have influence, I would have been done with it long ago.”
