Jackson State football advances to Celebration Bowl: date, opponent, more details

JACKSON – Jackson State football picked up a big win on Saturday. It brings with it another great opportunity.

The Tigers defeated Southern 41-13 in the SWAC championship game. It is Jackson State’s third conference championship in four years and first under coach TC Taylor.

With the win, Jackson State (11-2) advances to the Celebration Bowl against South Carolina State (9-2). It is an annual game between the champions of the SWAC and MEAC. It started in 2015.

When will Jackson State play in the Cricket Celebration Bowl?

The Cricket Celebration Bowl will take place in Atlanta on December 14th at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The game kicks off at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast on ABC.
