Jalen Hurts injury update: The Eagles QB participates in pregame warmups, which is expected to be good for the playoffs

Jalen hurts According to AJ Ross of CBS Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles should be ready for the Wild Card Playoffs after a concussion.

Hurts was listed as one of many inactives for the Eagles Sunday, a game that is meaningless in playoff positioning. After missing last week and Sunday due to a concussion, Hurts participated in pregame walkthroughs, according to Ross.

Hurts did mental reps and watched Tanner McKee warm up. McKee is expected to start Sunday, replacing the injured Kenny Pickett in the middle of last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Hurts finished the regular season with a 12-3 record, 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, five interceptions, a 68.7% completion percentage, 630 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.

As it stands, Hurts and the Eagles would host the Green Bay Packers or the Commanders in the NFC Wild Card round. The overall plan has yet to be determined.

If Washington beats Dallas, it won’t matter what the Packers do, and they will travel to Philadelphia to replay the Week 1 Brazil game. If Green Bay wins and the Commanders lose, Washington will travel to Philadelphia and the Hurts will face this defense for the third time this season.

The two teams split their meetings this year, with both teams winning at home.

Earlier this season, there was criticism of the Eagles’ passing game due to its low stat count, despite their franchise-record ten win streak. After viral comments from WR AJ Brown, Hurts and the offense picked up steam in the passing game.

In a 27-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 15, Hurts threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for one more.

While Hurts is recovering at this point and the Eagles are unable to move up to the No. 1 pick, other starters will rest Sunday. That includes Saquon Barkley, who was closing in on the NFL’s all-time single-season rushing record.

Barkley has 2,005 yards on the ground this year, 101 fewer than Eric Dickerson’s mark of 2,105.

Head coach Nick Sirianni considered giving Barkley and the starting offensive line a chance at the record Sunday. However, he decided to give them a break for the playoffs. Like Hurts, Barkley was on the field during pregame warmups wearing a T-shirt featuring his entire offensive line.
