You can’t ban greatness, and after the NFL fined Jalen Hurts in Week 15 for wearing mismatched cleats against the Steelers, the Eagles’ star quarterback is doing it again.

Knowing full well that Jordan Brand would take the penalty, Hurts once again wore the mismatched Kelly Green and Midnight Green Jordan shoes for the game against the Commanders in Washington.

The NFL fined Hurts $5,628 for violating the league’s uniform and equipment rules in Sunday’s win over Pittsburgh.

Officially, Hurts was fined for wearing a shoe color other than one of the Eagles’ “constitutional team colors.”

Nick DePaula reported that Hurts will not pay that fine or this week’s financial penalty. Jordan Brand will make sure its star quarterback keeps his money, much like they did with Michael Jordan 40 years ago.

Earlier in the season, Hurts caused a stir when he was forced to wear a white Jordan shoe and another green Jordan shoe because his foot was stepped on and he didn’t want to miss a game.
