Jamal Murray’s final status for Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets revealed

PHOENIX – The Denver Nuggets will retain the services of Jamal Murray on Christmas Day against the Phoenix Suns.

Nuggets coach Michale Malone confirmed this in his pre-game press conference before the game began.

It is questionable whether Murray would start tonight with an ankle injury.

Murray missed the team’s previous game on Monday, in which the Suns suffered their biggest loss of the year, 117-90.

The Nuggets previously ruled out DaRon Holmes II (right Achilles tendon repair) and Vlatko Čančar (rehab from left knee surgery) for tonight.

For Phoenix, Devin Booker (groin), Grayson Allen (concussion) and Bol Bol (knee) were completely ruled out on the team’s initial injury report.

Denver has won its last five of six games tonight, while the Suns are tied at 14-14 after their first 28 games.

Murray is second on the team averaging 19.1 points per night and also had 4.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.6 steals. In the last four games he has played, Murray has topped 20 points in each.

Against Phoenix in particular, Murray has scored 26+ points in his last three of four games against the Suns.

Earlier this season, he signed a massive four-year extension worth $208 million to stay in Denver.

The tip for Suns vs. Nuggets will be given shortly after 8:30 p.m. local time at the Footprint Center.
