James Conner of the Cardinals and Jonah Williams were injured against the Panthers

The Arizona Cardinals could lose two more starters for the remainder of their game against the Carolina Panthers as both running back James Conner and offensive lineman Jonah Wiliams were sidelined in the third quarter.

On consecutive plays in the final six minutes of the third quarter, Conner and Williams both left the field limping before being further evaluated by the coaches.

Both Conner and Williams are officially questionable to return due to knee injuries.

If the running back can’t hold out the rest, it would be a huge blow to Arizona’s offense.

The veteran running back, who is close to signing a two-year contract extension with the franchise, was one of the few bright spots during Sunday’s game.

In less than three quarters of work, Conner managed 117 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. He was also Arizona’s leading receiver before going down with four catches for 49 yards.

Arizona’s ground game was already compromised by injury before Conner’s demise.

With Trey Benson injured and Emari Demercado on injured reserve, Arizona has turned to DeeJay Dallas and practice squad player Michael Carter to fill the void.

Dallas made the most of its only goal, shooting from a yard away. Carter had two carries for nine yards.

As for Williams’ injury, Arizona will be hoping Jackson Barton steps in after he was released from the practice squad a day earlier.

In addition to the offensive players, the Cardinals saw linebacker Baron Browning and special teams ace Joey Blount slowly get up not long after Conner and Williams left the field.

It’s also questionable whether Browning will return.
