James Harden joins Steph Curry on historic NBA roster

The LA Clippers host the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night at the Intuit Dome. After a four-game road trip in which they lost 2-2, the Clippers will look to get back on the winning list after a 1-point loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

At halftime it was 59:59 with Denver, the Clippers were led by James Harden, who had 16 points at the break. Harden made three three-pointers in the first half, making NBA history.

Harden made his 3,000th career three-pointer in the first half of Sunday’s game to join the Golden State Warriors. Star Steph Curry is only the second player ever to reach this impressive milestone.

Harden recently became second all-time behind Curry in three-pointers made, which the Warriors star spoke about after a game against the Clippers.

Curry: “It’s definitely special… He’s had an incredible run. We had many battles. The fact that he is now ranked second on the list, ahead of two greats we both respect, is very special. We’ll see how far we can both push it. I know we still have a lot left…He was the third pick and I was the seventh pick out of the class of 2009. Very special.”

Harden and Curry are both members of the 2009 NBA draft class and have had several battles in the Western Conference playoffs over the years.
