James Kennedy’s alleged “temper” and outbursts were always a concern to his girlfriend Ally Lewber’s inner circle, a source tells The Post.

The 32-year-old “Vanderpump Rules” alum was arrested on domestic violence charges on Tuesday after he allegedly got into an argument with a woman. The woman’s identity was not revealed and it is unclear whether Lewber was involved, but the couple attended Kathy Hilton’s annual Christmas party earlier in the evening.

A source close to the couple told The Post that Lewber’s close friends were “concerned” about her relationship with Kennedy when they met in 2022 due to his behavior on “Vanderpump Rules.”

The insider added that her worries lessened the more they got to know him, adding that her friends thought Lewber was “good for James” but “his temper has always been a problem.” However, another insider said, this was “not normal behavior for him”.

A third source told the Post she allegedly saw Kennedy and Lewber get into “massive shouting matches,” but nothing physical. They also shared that he “calmed down with his drinking, which really helped their relationship.”

As for their alleged arguments, the source said that Lewber “stands up for herself” and “isn’t passive like Raquel (Leviss),” to whom Kennedy was engaged for seven months before they split in 2021. The insider also shared that Kennedy “is a good guy and has tried to change.”

Kennedy was taken into custody and charged after allegedly arresting a woman in an argument; However, sources told TMZ that officers did not see any visible injuries on the woman.

The Post caught up with Lewber last week and she shared that her relationship with Kennedy is “better than ever.”

“We were the best we’ve ever been. And I think it probably has to do with the fact that we haven’t filmed in a while,” she said.

While Lewber did not comment on Kennedy’s arrest, one of his ex-girlfriends addressed it directly.

Pregnant Kristen Doute, 41, whom he dated on and off between 2013 and 2015, published an article about his arrest on Thursday and captioned it with one word: “Finally.”

The alleged incident follows Bravo’s announcement that Vanderpump Rules is returning for Season 12 with a new cast.

Lewber told The Post that she was looking forward to not having cameras focused on her and Kennedy 24/7.

“I think it will be nice to just feel like we have some privacy and can actually focus on ourselves,” she said.
