Actor James Marsden I’m not sure about one X Men back, but he loved Deadpool and Wolverine.

While promoting his new film Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Marsden was asked about his time as a star in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men series. The actor portrayed Scott Summers/Cyclops, a mutant superhero with the ability to emit powerful energy beams from his eyes, in all three parts of the original X-Men film trilogy. While Cyclops was killed off in the third film, 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand, Marsden returned as the character for a brief cameo at the end of 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, after the The film’s time travel shenanigans had led to him and countless other heroes being resurrected.

While speaking to Screen Rant, Marsden discussed the chances of him reprising the role of Cyclops for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, admitting that he “knows so little about all of this.” However, the actor revealed that he had the opportunity to see Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters and shared that he “loved the movie.” . . It was great and it was great to see Hugh in that costume again.”

Returning to the likelihood of Cyclops’ retaliation, Marsden added: “I look back on that experience with great fondness and awe for everything and I loved playing that character.” It was certainly one of the highlights of my career. So it was a joy, and yeah, I don’t know what they’re doing or what’s going on with all this, but it was always fun to put on that costume.”

Marsden’s comments come less than a week after Tye Sheridan, who portrayed a younger version of Marsden’s Cyclops in the X-Men prequel films, expressed doubts about a possible Marvel return.

“I don’t know. I don’t think there’s a question about whether there are more stories to tell. I think there’s probably still more stories to tell,” he said. “The question is whether the audience wants to on these stories and whether or not we feel like these types of films are oversaturated, or whether there’s a new way to make these films. “But yeah, I’m not entirely sure.”
