He said: “In our house all the smoke alarms go off and send the data to our iPhones. I couldn’t believe our pretty little house in the hills had lasted this long. It feels like losing a loved one.”

In a follow-up post, Woods added: “I picked this up from our beautiful little house in the Palisades last night. Now all fire alarms are triggered remotely at once. It tests your soul to lose everything at once, I have to say.”

He also hinted that getting insurance support could be a problem, revealing in a tweet that “one of the major insurance companies (sic) canceled all policies in our neighborhood about four months ago.”

Woods opened the Pacific Palisades wildfire update by saying he and his family were “leaving” the area.

The actor later confirmed that they had safely made their way out of the disaster area and shared frightening photos of the fire that ravaged the area.

“To all the wonderful people who reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. “I just want to let you know that we were able to evacuate successfully,” Woods said in a post on X.

He added at the time: “I don’t know at the moment if our house is still standing, but unfortunately the houses on our little street are no longer standing.”
