Foxx emotionally broke down in tears several times during the special as he explained to fans what led him into a week-long coma.

“I was fighting for my life,” Foxx began to explain. “On April 11th I had a bad headache and asked my boy for an aspirin… before I could get the aspirin… I walked out. I don’t remember 20 days.”

The “Beat Shazam” host said he was on the brink of death after fainting and falling into a coma for several weeks. Foxx’s health deteriorated horribly and his vital signs were at rock bottom.

After Foxx went to the first doctor, they gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home. However, his sister Deidra Dixon recalled that Foxx was “lethargic” and knew something was “wrong” with him. She continued to search for other hospitals and urged doctors to continue helping her brother.

Doctors told Foxx’s family at the time of his hospitalization that “he had a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.”

“If I don’t get on his mind now, we’re going to lose him,” the doctor said at Piedmont Hospital.

After Foxx’s surgery, his doctor told his sister, “You were right, your prayers were answered.” We didn’t find out where it came from, but he did.” have a stroke. He may make a full recovery, but it will be the worst year of his life.

Foxx continued, “I was so dizzy from the stroke… 20 days, I don’t remember. On May 4th I woke up. When I woke up, I was in a wheelchair. I couldn’t walk.”

“The ‘Django Unchained’ actor thought his stroke was a ‘prank’ at the time. I don’t get strokes.”

“Listen, you need to shut this shit down, this whole Jamie Foxx joke, stop with these arrogant bulls, this prank doesn’t give a damn who you are,” the therapist told him.

Foxx claimed that moment gave him a reality check as he recovered from it and worked hard on his recovery.

At the time of the medical crisis, Foxx was in Georgia working with Cameron Diaz on the upcoming Netflix film “Back in Action.” He was treated at a hospital in Georgia while “tests were being conducted.” Foxx returned to the Back in Action set in January 2024.

Foxx said his daughters Corinne and Anelise and his sister were “suppressing it” in the hospital. Corinne refused to let anyone else visit Foxx because she didn’t want anyone to see him in the hospital. He revealed that doctors gave him “all the medicines” but they didn’t “work”.

Foxx added that he leaned heavily on his faith during his near-death experience until he witnessed a miracle.

Anelise played guitar for him while he was in a coma. As her guitar playing became a regular routine in the hospital, Foxx’s vital signs began miraculously improving.

“My vitals are so bad they are going to lose me. Then a miracle happened, and that miracle affected my youngest daughter. She’s 14 – I didn’t want her to see me like that, but she snuck in.” “I know what my dad needs,” Foxx explained.

“When she played, my vitals dropped… it was God in that guitar. Spiritual defibrillator.”

Although doctors couldn’t explain what exactly happened to Foxx, he eventually came out of the coma after his daughter continued to play the guitar for him.

During his Netflix special, Foxx compared Sean “Diddy” Combs to the devil.

“Your life doesn’t flash before your face. It was strangely peaceful somehow. I saw the tunnel. I didn’t see the light,” Foxx said.

“It was pretty hot in the tunnel…am I going to the wrong place? I looked at the end of the tunnel and thought I saw the devil… Or was that Puffy? I’m f—ing around, but if that was Puffy, he had a burning bottle of Johnson and… no, I’m kidding.”

Foxx referred to claims that Combs was responsible for his hospitalization.

“It said ‘Puffy tried to kill me’ on the internet. I know what you’re thinking, ‘Diddy?'” Foxx joked. “Damn it – I left the parties early.”. I was out at 9:00 a.m. – something wasn’t right. It’s slippery in here.

The comedian said throughout his special, “If I can stay funny, I can stay alive,” while doing several impressions, including President-elect Donald Trump in his stand-up.

Foxx’s medical scare made headlines in April 2023.

Corinne announced on April 12 that her father was recovering from a medical complication.

“Thankfully, thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery,” she wrote on social media at the time. “We know how popular he is and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy during this time.”
