Jason Statham & David Ayer’s new film “Levon’s Trade” gets a new title

Jason Statham And David Ayer had great success with their 2024 film The beekeeperwhich had a great supporting cast, fun action and just the right amount of silliness in its kickass. It looks like Statham and Ayer are set to score back-to-back hits if the cast, writers, and description of their new film are any indication. Called previously Levon’s tradetheir action film just got a new title and an official release date.

Called now A working manAyer and Sylvester Stallone wrote the screenplay based on the book Levon’s trade by Chuck Dixon. Statham stars Jason Flemyng, Merab Ninidze, Maximilian Osinski, Cokey Falkow, Michael Peña, David Harbour, Noemi Gonzalez, Arianna Rivas, Emmett J. Scanlan and Eve Mauro. This will be the fifth Jason Statham film and performance written by Stallone, for whom he created his Lee Christmas character The consumables and wrote Statham’s very underrated 2013 film, Home Front.

Jason Statham is as serious as an action star can be, but he also puts his money where his guns are behind the camera.

A working man will be released on March 28, 2025 by Amazon MGM Studios and is almost two hours long (116 minutes to be exact). It’s rated R for strong violence, language throughout, and drug content, so it doesn’t look like The Stath will hold anything back as he claws his way to box office stardom. The description for A working man reads like this:

“Levon Cade (Statham) gave up his “job” to live a simple life in construction and spend time with his daughter. But when his boss’s teenage daughter disappears, he must re-use the skills that made him a legendary figure. Levon’s hunt for the missing college student leads him to the heart of a sinister criminal conspiracy that sets off a chain reaction that affects his new way of life will endanger.

Jason Statham is producing the film alongside Chris Long, John Friedberg, David Ayer, Sylvester Stallone, Bill Block and Kevin King Templeton.

“Jason is an action icon. “He’s truly an action superstar and he’s his own brand…Working with him was about really understanding how he works, what his kind of camera grammar is, and then putting top-notch play into action.” When I learned his action game, it was a plus and I learned a lot about action, stunts and performance. It’s about working with someone who just demands the best from you, who brings out your best.”
