Jay-Z is asking for the “cynical and calculated” rape lawsuit to be dismissed after denying the allegations

Jay-Z has filed a motion to dismiss the rape lawsuit that now includes his name.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six Monday, the “99 Problems” rapper, born Shawn Carter, claims that Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee has waged a “blackmail campaign” against him in recent months.

“This campaign was cynical and designed to force the payment of an exorbitant amount of money – the defendant would have to pay X million dollars without regard to the truth or this would have happened,” the document says.

“When the defendant refused to pay and instead took steps to prove his innocence, this unnamed plaintiff and her self-representing attorney (whose name appeared in headlines and press conferences under the guise of representing her) went to extraordinary lengths to to prevent a fair defense.”

Jay, 55, claims Buzbee made “baseless allegations” against him while “hiding behind the pseudonym ‘Jane Doe.’

“These allegations are not about justice for the victims. They are also not concerned with giving victims of sexual violence a voice,” the file says.

“Instead, they are merely the next chapter in Attorney Buzbee’s sprawling extortion saga – a saga whose aim is low and measured in dollars.”

The father of three is asking the court to reject the plaintiff’s request and “immediately disclose her identity to the public.”

Alternatively, Jay also wants the court to dismiss Jane Doe’s civil lawsuit against him “for lack of subject matter jurisdiction due to plaintiff’s lack of standing.”

“Plaintiff has presented no evidence – no affidavit, no statement or concrete factual support – to establish the nature of the serious harm required to justify the pseudonymity,” the document says.

According to a press release, Jay claimed that on December 6, Buzbee “resorted to desperation tactics and filed a temporary restraining order against Carter’s attorneys, which was ultimately rejected by the judge.”

In a statement to Page Six, Buzbee said, “Sending a simple letter of complaint and then filing a lawsuit is not blackmail or extortion. That is the practice of law.”

The lawyer added that they “will not get bogged down in a frivolous sideshow that attempts to put the lawyers at the center of very serious allegations made by a brave woman.”

On Sunday, the plaintiff amended her October rape lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs, 55, to add Jay’s name as a male celebrity who also allegedly raped her.

According to the lawsuit obtained by Page Six, the woman, who was 13 at the time of the crime, claimed that she was taken to a house party in New York on September 7, 2000, after the VMA Awards.

The victim said she felt “light-headed” after drinking at the party and laid down in a bedroom.

In the lawsuit, the woman alleged that both the Bad Boy Records founder and Jay entered the room before he removed her clothing and held her down while Combs allegedly raped her.

She then claimed that the Roc Nation founder also raped her.

While the alleged crimes were taking place, an unidentified prominent woman looked on.

On Sunday, the “Empire State of Mind” host vehemently denied the “vile” rape allegations and criticized Buzbee for trying to “blackmail” him.

Jay also said he was heartbroken that his wife Beyoncé and their three children – Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7 – are having to deal with this situation.

“My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is at the age where their friends will certainly see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain people’s cruelty and greed,” he told Page Six in a statement referring to his eldest child.

“I mourn another loss of my innocence. Children shouldn’t have to endure something like this at a young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand the inexplicable extent of the evil that seeks to destroy families and the human spirit.”

In a statement to Page Six, Combs’ legal team said: “This amended statement of claim and the recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee exposes his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts designed to extort payments from celebrities .” who fear that lies will be spread about them, just as lies were spread about Mr. Combs.
